About Dulcie
Hello! I'm Dulcie Crowther, the Founder of Spellable. I am a speech-language pathologist and have practiced for the past 30 years. In 2013, I put my SLP skills to work as a Learning Specialist at a small private school. During my time there, I completed over 100 hours of training in methodologies for improving reading, writing, and spelling. This included completing the Orton-Gillingham Comprehensive Training and Advanced Continuum through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education, as well as training in Structured Word Inquiry. In addition, I co-authored a K-12 curriculum for word study at the academy.
It was during this time that I developed a passion for helping struggling readers of all ages improve their reading, writing, and especially their spelling. This passion led to the creation of Spellable.
